hi, i was wondering if someone can provide me with some advice/guidance n the following issue i have.
I am trying to create an application that provides a car insurance quote for a user. the ser enters details such as age, gender etc and based on the values a premium is calculated. i have all the possible data for each field. howvere im not able to store the data in database to provide some sort of a lookup (which would make life easier) so if my data were such as:
age:
0-5 : 0.1
6-10: 0.4
11-15: 0.2
16-20: 0.0
what is the best possible way to go about looking up this data? i was thinking of using combo boxes and having a display member and value member fields? im not sure if hard coding the data would be the best idea and ultimately i would like to avoid that. im just really looking for ideas on how to store the data and then retrieve it easily later for calculatations. any help appreciated.
