I've just joined the forum and looking for some intial application set up/install advice.
Looking to buy VS Pro 2008 direct from Microsoft but thought it might be best to start with the FREE download version of VS Web Developer 2008. Can anyone give me a brief rundown of the various applications to use for professional website development in ASP.NET? More specifically i'm trying to work out if VS Web Developer comes as an add-in if i purchase VS Pro 2008? Or does VS Pro replace the need to use VS Web developer?
I figure i'll buy VS Pro 2008 in combination with Expression Studio 2 to separate the Design versus Coding aspects of ASP.NET website development?
Till now i've been entirely using Dreamweaver ASP Classic and am looking to make the leap into the .NET world. Dreamweaver will definately not cut it!
Any advice or tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
