We are attempting to move a web application project to the 3.5 framework. In testing we found all of our client side AJAX webservice requests returning results differently than the 2.0 framework. Now the results are wrapped in another layer. For example: We have a client script that makes a webservice call and expects a delimited string returned.
"test|test1|test2"
This is inturn split in javascipt so operations can be performed with the data.
After the update to 3.5 the results now return wrapped in another layer:
{d:"test|test2|test3"}
As one can imagine, changing the client script throughout the site is not a trivial task. Has anyone else noticed this change? Has anyone created a work around or seen a hot fix.
