I am using VB and ASP to create a website and using Paypal as my payment option. I want to setup my site so that as soon as my user pays through Paypal, the user's status is changed in my database table. The user can have a different status depending on the membership plan.
How do I retrieve the payment status from Paypal so that I can immediately and automatically update the record in the database and change the user's membership status?
I would appreciate some basic intstructions here, not necessarily the specific details. I am more or less looking for some information on how to get started with this.
