I am new to web development and I was trying to create a web app that will have a modify.aspx page and based on the type of modification it will load the necessary controls. Basically I want to be able to modify table data connected to sql server. So different tables will have different structures and hence different controls to load them for modification. On this modify.aspx page, upon selecting the type of modification (via dropdownlist) I want to load table data and the controls for modification (text boxes, dropdownlists, etc). I know can be easily done using gridview and turning edit mode on. But I am not sure if that is the right way to do it and if I will have to create separate pages for each type.
