Generating and Downloading PDFs from Word and Excel

I want to dynamically create Word and Excel documents, convert them to PDF, and then download them to users.
I'm using the Microsoft Office Tools to create the Word and Excel documents, but I have not found a suitable product for converting them into PDF? How does everyone do this? Do you simply put a copy of Adobe Acrobat on the server and then print the document using the Acrobat driver?
