How would I deploy a WinForms application that uses LocalDb

LocalDb is a great idea and solves many issues, however, there does not seem to be any direct documentation on deploying.  It is loosely described at best.  Could anyone direct me to reference material that discusses building an install (InstallShield or WiX) for an application that uses SQL LocalDb?
Some of the questions I have are:
- Does my install need to include specific MSIs or Redistributables (what binaries are needed)?
- Should I include the SQL LocalDb command line EXE?
- Where can I find documentation on programmatically determining if a SQL LocalDb already exists and if it does, what version?
