I have a Windows Server 2008 R2 box with SQL Server Express 2008 R2 installed. I wish to install SharePoint 2010 Foundation & have it use my existing copy of SQL Server Express 2008 R2. I installed SharePoint 2010 Foundation &
now the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard is running. How do I move forward to use my copy of SQL Server 2008 Express R2? I have selected 'Connect to an existing server farm' & entered the PC name in the 'Database Server' & clicked on 'Retreive
Database Names' but I get an error message 'Failed to connect to the database server...' I have also tried 'MyPCName\SQLEXPRESS' & '(local)' but neither work.
Any help appreciated.
