Dashboard advice in ASP.NET

I have been tasked to create a web page 'Dashboard' to show the real-time status of our different production applications.
I am hoping if you can give me some advice on how to go about this project using ASP.NET VS2008.
The users want it to look good with some nice Dials/Gauges possibly graphs/charts - are there any free tools for this as I won't be able to purchase any.
Things to appear on the dashboard:
- application health (red, amber, green?)
- queue counts to check volume in different queues (tibco or MSMQ)
- CPU useage for an application on a server
I think the idea is to have widgets on the page but I am lookign for the best way to do this and what technologies I need.
