I have an asp.net app that has a company calendar page. When an event is added/modified on the company calendar an .ics file is created/modified in the background. The files reside in a directory like so:
DefaultWebSite\Calendars\CompanyGuid\calendar.ics
I want to give users the ability to subscribe to this calendar via their outlook calendar. I provide the user with a link to the calendar, for example - http://www.websitename.com/Calendars/companyname/Calendar.ics
I want to secure the Calendars folder so only users that have a valid membership to the site can access their company calendar ics file. The site is using forms authentication.
The users will be accessing the ics file via their outlook calendar and not authenticating via the asp.net login screen.
