OK, so here is the scenario.
I have a webform where the user can enter a string to allow them to search for a set of results and then store the selected options.
The submit button opens a new window using a javascript window.open call, and the page_load for the opened window runs the SQL query and populates an ASP .NET table control with the appropriate results.  For each row of the table, there are two checkboxes, and by checking any one from either column, it stores two session variables, which need to be passed back to the form from which the page was opened from and populate the appropriate controls, but my first problem is how to get the page, once the opened window has been closed to post back, but really, what i want to know is if there is a better way to achieve this?
Each checkbox generates two strings, so a maximum of four strings can be passed back to the first page, and the opened window is also closed using a window.close() javascript call.< ...
