I am trying to write a function that will compare a string entered in a text box with a database string and if there is a difference, it will return the portion of the string all the wauy up until that difference. HAving trouble getting started. Any suggestions? I have been looking into the string.compare function, but that does not seem to be quite what I am looking for.
