Obtaining Active Directory Groups in VB.NET

Hello Everyone,
I have ran into a bit of a dilemma where I need to obtain the current user (who is using windows authentication) and all of their Active Directory groups. From there, I need the names of the groups that they belong to so that I can use them for authenticating properly with another program.
Is there any reasonable way to obtain the current users active directory groups and store their names into something like a string array?
 
Any help would be greatly appreciated,
