Who can provide me some help or examples for the following situation:
There is al lot out on the internet about httpwebrequests and also AsyncTasks, but not the specific combination.
My goal:
- Download 5 files (type: xml, jpg, html & pdf) parallel with each other via the httpwebrequests methode. (code behind).
- Display the progress of each file download as output during the download (e.g. file 1: 56 kb of 4324 kb), this should be updated as fast/good/efficient as possible (progress).
- The downloaded files are known and started at "page_load".
- ASP.Net 2.0 and Ajax are and can be used.
- The files are on other websites (domains) and not in my control.
- Extra cookie handling options are great but not the most important.
- Extra webrequest options would be great, for instance a separate user-friendly
"download-function" with parameters like setting timeouts, get/post, user-age ...
