How to add custom web control to another at runtime

Hello,

I can't find how to add a custom control to another custom control at runtime. The control that will be acting as the container has 3 panels that I want to dynamically add another conrol(s) to. Does anyone know of a place where I can see an example?

I was able to add system controls to the panels at runtime, but am unable to add my custom control. The controls are in the same folder.
