Is it possible to use server tags to set text attributes of controls?

Hi,


I'm trying to do something like this:
<asp:Button ID="btnAddFriend" runat="server" Text="Add <%= GetFriendNameFromStep1() %> to a Contacts List" />
However this just renders out as "Add <%= GetFriendNameFromStep1() %> to a Contacts List"
instead of calling the GetNameFromStep1 function.  Is this possible?
