After Responce.redirect Current page not responding - even with false as parameter

Hi everyone,
I have a Aspx page that has a Session State maintained. 
On click of the button (Export to Excel) i am sending some parameters using the Responce.Redirect("~/someURL?Param1=....,False)  to a different page where my actual Export to excel is working.
Now my problem is, once I exported to excel, the original page is as good as dead. No event gets fired on click of any of the button on that page. If i refresh the page, it behaves normally.
Any solution for the same?
