xml page opening in same browser window

hi ,

I am using asp.net/vb.net. In my application i need to download one xml page.I am able to download it successfully. But if i open the page directly from the Open Diablog Box the page is opening in the same browser window of my running application. For all other file formats the page will be open in seperate window... As the xml page is opening in same window and when i close the same my application also got closed.. Can i get any solution for this problem?

 thanks
