I have a database with a primary, log and secondary file ( .mdf, .ldf and .ndf). If I use the script:
USE [master]
GO
CREATE DATABASE [MyDB] ON
( FILENAME = N'MyDB.mdf' ),
( FILENAME = N'MyDB.ldf' )
FOR ATTACH
GO
The DB is attached and both mdf and ndf are visible in the database properties. Is the ndf file not necessary in the attach statement? I would have expected that (FILENAME = N'MyDB2.ndf' ) would
be required in the attach.
