Date Validation Problem.

i have 2 problems,
1) how check date using isdate() ,[my dateformat is dd/MM/YYYY]
mycode :

    If Not IsDate(Trim(TextBox1.Text)) Then
  DisplayClientError("Invalid Date Format (DD/MM/YYYY)")
    Exit Sub
   End If
its working fin under VS2008, but in IIS creates Error.


2. How to Assign Current Date in CompaeValidator ValuetoCompare .
my code :
dt = Format(Today, "dd/MM/yyyy")
CompareValidator1.ValueToCompare = dt
CompareValidator1.ErrorMessage = "Date Must be within " & dt

But error is Can't convert into Text to Date.
all the errors in IIS, not in VS2008.
