I have been working with ASP.NET for a few years, and I was always under the impression that ASP.NET always rebuilds the application on every page call if some files have changed. However, in the project I'm currently working on, it seems as though the rebuilding of the application has to be done manually if the code is changed. In my current project, if I have an error in the application and then make some changes to the code and then refresh the page, the error still persists in the application (please note that this is not being run through the Visual Studio debugger). In the past, every time I have built applications on my personal computer, I would just edit the .aspx page (code-behind), and then refresh it. This would reflect the changes I made in the code on the output of the .aspx page. How is it that in my past experiences changing the code does rebuild the application on page refresh but in my current project it doesn't? I'm entirely confused. Thanks to anyone who can help ...
