We have created a DLL in VisualStudio 2005 and installed it in Global Assembly Cache (GAC) through MSI to use in Internet Explorer as a plug-in. This DLL is working fine in Windows XP and Windows 2003 Server OS.
For Windows7 OS, if we run IE8 as an administrator, it is working fine. If we run it outside administrator mode, I am getting this error:
"Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {98A05972-11CF-A442-00AoC90AF39} failed due to the following error :80070005".
As we had permission problem in Windows 7, we have decided to redesign the entire component which is compatible with Windows 7. So please give suggestions on how to create the DLL for Windows 7.
