can C# and VB be used in the same solution?

I may do some work on a project written in VB.  My stuff will be new functionality that will consume a service to do some stuff.   
I'm hoping to be able to write the C# stuff in it's own dll.  Then I could call it as needed, in VB, from the VB code behind page or another VB class in the existing project.  
Would this work the way I've described it?  Is there a better way of doing this with out writing all of the new stuff in VB?
