Help with a scheduler?

 I have been looking around and cant find any kind of scheduler in VS for asp.net. Is there some sort of template around i could use? All i need to set is a field on a DB to 1 when the scheduler is supposed to start and then set it back to 0 when its done
 
I have absolutly no idea of the best way to do this in asp.net (at the moment im not really to good with databases either but i assume theres something on there that can help me acheive this), could anyone whos done this before help me out? Even it its just a reccomendation on a cheap peice of software to buy it would be better than where i am at the moment
