Hi, this is strange. I'm setting a profile proprty value like this in a method that checks if a user is new or not. (I'm using Oauth with external site authentication)
HttpContext.Current.Profile.SetPropertyValue("blah", mystring);
The method returns to a login page where I set the user to authenticated:
FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(userstring, true);
FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage(userstring, false);
Then I check the profile value further down in the page load
if (Profile.PropertyValues["blah"] != null)
{ // its not null, its definately there }
but as soon as I leave the page and come back to it or any other page, now all of a sudden the property value is not there. Its strange because I can set other property values that remain. Any thoughts? thanks
