I’ve recently noticed a domain on the internet seems to be forwarding to my domain. I’ve been advised by my hosting company to put a block on the domain in web.config but I’m not sure how to do this.
I’ll explain further. Say for example my website is called abc.com and there is another website on the internet called xyz.com. This xyz.com has nothing to do with me however, if anyone browses to xyz.com it forwards (or redirects) to my website abc.com. The result is that users and search engines will see two completely different website domains but with duplicate content.
When I ping the domain xyz.com is resolves to the same IP address as my website, so I cant use IP blocking. I need to find a way of blocking the rogue domain itself.
Please could someone recommend a way of blocking a domain in web.config?
Many thanks.
Andy
