Is securestring usable in webform app?

Hello,
I can't figure out how to save an input froma textbox into a securestring.
Because by doing SecureString str = new SecureString("textbox1.text"); it defeat the purpose of Secure string because by calling textbox1.text we actually created a copy on the data in memory.
Any suggestion?
