I need to enable users to upload files of up to 3GB to our server.
Currently, our website enables users to upload up to about 300MB reliably using the asp.net 2.0 FileUpload class.
Is there any reason why I shouldn't just increase the requestTimeout and maxRequestLength to enable 3GB uploads? Is the FileUpload control suitable for this kind of file size or does it have limitations?
Would there be any advantage in using FTP instead?
Any recommendations for uploading very large files would be appreciated.
