Currently working with importing Excel into a gridview for user display and verfication -
1.) Import works fine
2.) Display to gridview is fine
3.) All data is contained in datatables once imported.
4.) Insert into SQL tables is fine IF the data is valid.
Question: What is the easiest way to validate the data incoming from the excel sheet (ie cell is supposed to have a decimal value, did the user put in letter or leave the field completely blank, etc)?
Import can contain up to 50 (mixed - strings, decimals, checkboxes, etc) fields for verication, is the easiest way to simply "brute force" every value (ie, If, then, else every field)?
BRUTE works, but its probably not very efficient........any help would be greatly appreciated.
