I'm making a new website, and I'm using the membership framework. It looks really good, but I think the role system isn't fine grained enough. It makes a pain to check if the user has access to something and I have alot of roles. The best way for me to check if the users has access, to lets say post a new post, the system should check a Task/Operation list that belongs to the roles the user is in. From what I can see the membership framework does not support this. F.ex a way would be to add a method in the User object that has the method CheckAccess or something like that.
I've searched around a bit, both on this forum and on Google. I haven't come up with anything useful. The only thing I found was AzMan, but from what I understand it only works with AD, and I use MS Sql server. I havent found any articles, tutorials or existing frameworks that has this feature.
