Google search page should open in new and active window

 Google search result page should be open in the new window and the google search result window open as well but its behind my mail window, I have this problem only in the IE7 where as in the Firefox it is working fine as expected. 

I'm trying to do using... 

string qs = "http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=" + searchText;

script = string.Format("window.open(\"{0}\", \"_blank\");", qs); //searchResult
ScriptManager.RegisterStartupScript(sender, typeof(Page), "SearchRedirect", script, true); 

this code works fine for the Firefox but have problem in th IE7, it open the search page but results window(web page) is not active

any suggestion ...?
