I am building a CMS and I thought it would be nice to use the Virtual Path provider and a virtual file system. I am getting all of my page data from the database, including controls. The problem I am having is that the pages get cached for what seems like forever unless I invalidate the cache somehow. I set the cache dependency to the root folder of the site so I could invalidate the cache by just editing a file in the root. This is getting old quick while I am developing ways of editing data.
Is there a way I can prevent the virtual files from being cached at all? or set it to a very short amount of time? This is really driving me crazy and I just want to be able to build controls without having to change a file in the root every time.
Anyone have any ideas?
