Populate a form field from a query result in an include file

Hi All

I have a form that calls an include file prior to loading, this in turn runs a query via an ADO ODBC connection that returns a value and stores it in a variable. All of this works fine but I'm a bit stuck on how to get the value into a text field on the form. I can write the value out which appears just before the form is loaded like so Response.Write "Total" & (rsSeclusion("TotalSeclusionHours")) but I need to get at the value after the include has run and the form is loaded. Any help much appreciated and I hope this isn't to vague.
