regex problem

Hi All,

 I want to get rid of: @ #  $ * | and replace them by spaces.



Any idea why this does not work:
string txt = "@" + pasp.vbsGetSelectionItem(103, i).ToString() + "|" + pasp.vbsGetSelectionItem(100, i).ToString() + "$" + pasp.vbsGetSelectionItem(105, i).ToString() + "*" + pasp.vbsGetSelectionItem(114, i).ToString() + "#";
