Hi. I decided to study ASP a bit. And began from guided tour in the MSDN library. That is the sample: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/3fs4k4w4(VS.80).aspx The idea is to create a data-bound drop-down (AutoPostBack=true) with product list (Northwind sample DB) and after selecting any item FormView is updated displaying product details. This FormView provides adding, editing and deleting records. Also drop-down contains a fake item (Select) for the first page load and it's removed when page is postbacked.
The problem is that when I add (Select) item and set AppendDataBoundItems=True my drop-down list works strange. I expected it to work like this: I add, delete or modify any record, data is binded to a drop-down again and I should receive a newly filled drop-down with my changes. But actually after any action my list is appended by records from DB. I.e. I had 1-2-3 list, then I modified 2->8 and instead of getting 1-8-3 list I get 1-2-3-1-8-3. I ...
