dynamically creating linkButtons?

 hay all ..
i'm trying to create a number of linkButton dynamically based on a known number ..
i've used the placeHolder control but it doesn't work ..
the code below illustrates this, it should create only 6 controls, but it creates much more than this

 
For b = 0 To xmlSongsNode.ChildNodes.Count - 1

Dim lnk1 As New LinkButton()
lnk1.ID = "track" + (b + 1).ToString
lnk1.Text = "track" + (b + 1).ToString
LinksPlaceHolder.Controls.AddAt(b, lnk1)

Next another thing, is there another way to dynamically create control in a good arranged way, like below each others .. thanx all ..
