I am working on a simple test ASP.NET page that would allow user to get data (fill dataset) from a SQL Server and then navigate through the
records of the dataset (showing the values in a several textboxes). The navigation would be done with Next and Previous buttons.
One way - as I understand it - is to get the entire dataset and save it to the session variable. Then on Next/Previous calls use this session variable. Another approach would be to get one row of data from the database on each call to Next or Previous buttons.
What is a better practice? Thank you.
