Unable to install sql sever 2008 express sp1 -

I am trying to install visual studio professional 2010, but getting following errors
[06/24/11,11:50:29] Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express Service Pack 1 (x86): [2] Error code -2067529723 for this component is not recognized. [06/24/11,11:50:30] Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express Service Pack 1 (x86): [2] Component Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express Service Pack 1 (x86) returned an unexpected value. [06/24/11,11:51:36] VS70pgui: [2] DepCheck indicates Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express Service Pack 1 (x86) is not installed. ***EndOfSession***[06/24/11,15:01:15] Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Express Service Pack 1 (x86): [2] Error code -2067529723 for this component is not recognized.
on some blog it says that try to install the express version separately, I tried that also..same error.
I am trying to resolve this from last 2 days, not getting any clue, I uninstalled VS2010 couple of time no use.
