Hi guys, I want users to be redirected to default.aspx after they log out. For certain reasons I did not use the ASP.NET login controls and did not use the FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage to authenticate users. I created cookies using FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie().
I'm able to log users out using FormsAuthentication.SignOut(), but the issue is when users are in a privilleged directory (~/admin/ for example), Logging out does not work since authorization has been set to restrict anonymous users from accessing that directory.
I'm looking for a way to first redirect users to a public page (default.aspx) while logging them out. But all my solutions just don't seem to work. I need help ASAP as I'm already past my deadline. Thanks guys!
PS: I'm still very much open to suggestions on a better authenticatio ...
