I have a Calendar Control on a Form where I ask the user to provide a "Required By" date (for a requisition). By default, I select the date to be 7 days from the current date. What I'm trying to do is prevent the user from selecting a date prior to the current date by using a CompareValidator ... but I'm not having much luck.

=(

The error I'm receiving is "Control 'calRequiredBy' referenced by the ControlToValidate property of 'CompareDate' cannot be validated."

Here's my code below. Any help would be appreciated.

<code>

Sub Page_Load(Sender As Object, E As EventArgs)

Dim dteNextWeek As Date 'One week from today
Dim strToday As String 'Today's date as a String

dteNextWeek = (DateAdd("d", 7, Today()))
strToday = CStr(Today())

...

Go to the complete details ...
