Using CreateUser() for adding multiple users at one time

Hi,
I built a website using VB/ASP.NET throught Visual Studio 2008 and SQL Server 2008.  Everything works fine with authentication etc, but it is only limited to creating one user at a time.
The site is for a professor who would like to either create multiple userIDs and passwords at once or upload an Excel spreadsheet to parse.
Any suggestions for either?  I've stumbled across a few close but not quite solutions online regarding the Excel upload and I would like the imported data to show on screen for confirmation and when he clicks Submit, have each student ID # be passed into CreateUser() and have a random first logon password generated (I have the method for that already).
