Hi all,
I have a access front-end and sql server 2005 as database. In the front end application VBA code, I have to compare a table in SQL server with a source recordset using primary key and update the record in sql server table.
The primary key of the tablq in sql has 2 columns. One is int type and other is nvarchar(255) type.
The problem I am facing is that whenever the length of the column is less than 250 the update is successful but above that it is failing giving the following error:
3197 error: The Microsoft Office Access database engine stopped the process because you and another user are attempting to change the same data at the same time
Is there a relation between the length of the column and its updateability????
Kindly help. Thanks in advance.
