populate listbox from code

Can someone either explain or show me a doc that explains how to use VB code to pull data from an access database (2003) and populate listboxes on a web form.
 The goal is to have three listboxes, on page load the first box loads, then on select item the 2nd box loads and so forth. I have looked at (and tried) several different ways to do it but the code I am finding doesn't work and I am to new to programing successfully adjust it. A little help would be great.
