I have an asp.net website that uses forms authentication on an IIS server. I am trying to add a link to a virtual directory setup as a share located on another computer. The files on the share are pdf which I want to secure. When I add the share and navigate to the files everything appears to be working fine but as soon as I add pdf to the application configuration I get a config server error.
I am going into Application Configuration->Add Application Extension Mapping
Executable: c:\windows\microsoft.net\framework\v2.0.50727\aspnet_isapi.dll
Exension: .pdf
Limit To: GET,HEAD,POST,DEBUG
Script Engine checked, Verify that file exists not checked.
When I try to navigate to the pdf on the same machine I get redirected to the login but when I try to navigate to the pdf on the share I get
