Why is it showing logout?

while following the steps in this link:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/879kf95c(v=vs.90).aspx
In the Testing Login topic,
the 2nd step is given as browser showing the Login link and the generic message.
But in my web site,the display is different . It is:
WELCOME TO LOGIN PAGE
then below it is logout link and beside log out link there is "You are logged in. Welcome,. Compaq\Admin"
