Regarding the SQL Server 2005 Express that came with VWD 2008 Express. In my file-based web site, I have Database.mdf under App_Data. I am running the ASP.NET SQL Server Setup Wizard. On the Select the Server and Database page, I do not know what to enter for the Server. I tried MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS, but that did not work. I also tried SQLEXPRESS and SQL Server (SQLEXPRESS). All these are from the property window for the service (where I changed it from manual to automatic).
For any of those names I get an error message when I try to use the Database drop down:
Failed to query a list of database names from the SQL Server.
What do I type for the Server?
