I'm writing very simple store and retrieve applications in SQL Server, ASP.Net, and C#. For the most part I just use a SqlDataSource and attach my controls to the DS. Sometimes I need to have cascading DropDownLists where selecting a value from the first determines the values in the second. This is very easy to do outside of a control by putting the first dd in the where statement of the second's datasource, but when put into a FormView/DetailView this doesn't work. I understand why it doesn't work and have seen several ways to do this in code using datasets or a lot of code. I'm wondering if someone has figured out a slick/simple way of doing this? TIA
