I'm developing an ASP.NET MVC application that looks completely different, depending on whether it's being run locally or from the server (IIS 6). This is not a matter of CSS not being recognized through path issues. The CSS is being assigned, but the appearance is different. To reproduce:
I run Visual Studio 2010 and start the application, so it's running in the development server. It renders as I expect. I publish the site to the server and run the application from the same browser (IE8). It looks very different. Spacing between areas is larger, margins appears different, etc.
I have copied the HTML source from IE8 as rendered from the server and from Visual Studio - they are the exact same. So, for some reason, the exact same HTML in the exact same browser is rendering differently. The only variable is whether the HTML was served from the remote server or the local development server.
Can anyone help me out with why this would occur? It's a serious time ...
