How can one view the controls inside the content control in the designer when the page uses Master Pages?
I just inherited an asp.net application and the pages are fairly large, they all have master pages linked to them. The problem is that it's hard to get an idea of what the page looks like because the Visual Studio designer does not show anything when I open the page in design view. I split the markup and design panels but all I see is the Script Manager and perhaps an image or two. But in the markup panel, there are tables, divs, multiviews, etc. How does an asp.net develop get to analyse or view this in the designer. I don't want to have to remove the masterpage attribute of the page, nor copy and paste the markup into a dummy aspx page to get an idea. I'm sure there's an easier way...
