I think this should be simple, but I'm not sure how the backend will handle this...
I have a footer that I want to display the last 3 news items on my website. These newsitems are stored in a SQL Server database. however, since it's in the footer, I don't think I want to query the database on ever single pageview, so I was thinking that I would just add a function that would write the HTML for those 3 news links into an "include" file whenever a new news item was added...but I'm not sure if THAT is ideal either...I haven't used include files since classic ASP.
What would be the best solution here? Thoughts?
